SERGEI GENERALOV, PRESIDENT
Sergei graduated from the Moscow Energy Institute with honors, and from the Ordzhonikidze Graduate School of Management, majoring in Management of Foreign Economic Activities.
He worked as the Deputy Chairman of the Neftyanoy Investment Production Bank between 1992 and 1993.
In 1993, he worked as a Head of Department of Promradtekhbank.
In 1993, Sergei switched to the YUKOS oil company as Executive Director, Economics and Finance.
Between 1994 and 1997 he held the position of Vice-President, Finance and Securities, of YUKOS.
He became the Senior Vice-President of YUKOS in 1997, and subsequently the Deputy Chairman of the Managing Board of the MENATEP bank and a member of the joint management of the Rosprom-YUKOS group.
Between 1998 and 1999, Sergei was the Russian Federation Minister for Fuel and Energy.
In 1999, he was elected Deputy of the RF State Duma Federal Assembly for Achinsk Single-Mandate District ¹ 45 (Krasnoyarsk Krai).
In 2000, he was confirmed as the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee of the RF Federal Assembly for Economic Policy and Entrepreneurialism.
In June 2000, Sergei was confirmed as the Chairman of the Permanent State Duma Commission of the RF Federal Assembly for the Protection of Investor Rights.
In January 2003, he was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association for the Protection of Investor Rights (API).
