To date, its key sectors are transportation, coal mining, sugar processing, beverage & spirits, biotechnologies, agricultural machinery, raw materials and natural resources (with the exception of oil and gas). Industrial Investors is an investment management company. To date it manages a group of portfolio companies, which in their respective sectors are dominant players on the Russian/CIS market.
Are portfolio companies managed by Industrial investors funds?
None of the portfolio companies is a fund. Industrial Investors' success has been, among other elements, relying on successful consolidation strategies. All portfolio companies managed by Industrial Investors, as a result of successful consolidations, are holding companies to a group of core companies.
Industrial Investors puts significant emphasis on the quality of the management team of each separate subsidiary company, so that the management teams at holding company level focus on further acquisitions and on managing all aspects, which are common to subsidiary companies, thus enhancing the creation of value to our shareholders through the creation and management of synergies and the development of economies of scale.
Does Sergey Generalov's former functions of Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Russia or Deputy of the Russian Parliament impact in any way the investments managed by Industrial Investors?
No. Sergey Generalov has totally retired from public service and is fully dedicated to Industrial Investors.
